Developed in Japan during the 1940s from the Miyagawa Wase satsuma, Mihowase is an early-maturing mandarin variety. Compared to Owari satsuma, the fruits are smaller and slightly sweeter, with a thinner peel that makes them very easy to peel. They are also more aromatic and juicy, reaching a plump, vibrant flesh with a perfect sweet-tart balance. The trees are highly resilient, making Mihowase a reliable, productive, and grower-friendly satsuma variety.
